Hug to Healthy Life
April May 2023
The “Hug to Healthy Life” Erasmus+ Youth Exchange brought together young participants from different countries in the peaceful mountain village of Pedoulas, Cyprus. As a continuation of the first phase held in Antalya, Türkiye, the project focused on promoting a holistic understanding of health through non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and shared experiences. Participants explored how a healthy lifestyle goes beyond academic knowledge, combining physical, mental, and social well-being within an international learning environment.

The Hug to Healthy Life Erasmus+ Youth Exchange took place in the scenic village of Pedoulas, Cyprus, bringing together 30 participants from five different countries. As a continuation of the first phase held in Antalya, Türkiye, the project focused on promoting a holistic understanding of health through non-formal education and intercultural learning.
A Unique Learning Experience in Pedoulas, Cyprus
Set in a beautiful mountain village known as a summer resort, the project offered participants an inspiring and peaceful environment. This setting played an important role in creating a meaningful and immersive learning experience beyond a traditional classroom.
Participants spent a week filled with engaging activities, cultural exchange, and exploration, making the project both educational and enjoyable.
Health Beyond Academic Knowledge
One of the key insights gained خلال the project was that health is not only academic but also deeply connected to lifestyle, mindset, and social interaction.
Through Erasmus+ and non-formal learning methods, participants explored topics related to well-being in an interactive and practical way. Activities encouraged reflection, teamwork, and awareness of both physical and mental health.
Intercultural Exchange and Social Activities
Participants from Türkiye, Cyprus, Lithuania, Serbia, and Romania created a vibrant multicultural environment. Cultural sharing, group activities, archaeological visits, and social events strengthened friendships and built strong intercultural connections.
Night events and informal moments added a fun and memorable dimension to the project, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Continuation of Learning from Antalya
This project was a continuation of the first mobility held in Antalya, Türkiye (3–10 April 2023). It deepened the learning outcomes and strengthened the bonds formed during the first phase.
Participants had the opportunity to reflect on their previous experiences and build upon them in a new international setting.
The Hug to Healthy Life project successfully combined health education, intercultural exchange, and non-formal learning into a transformative experience. It encouraged young people to rethink what it means to live a healthy life while building lasting friendships and gaining valuable life skills.
