Empowering Youth Through Photography: A Creative Initiative in Antalya

In March 2024, a meaningful social responsibility activity was successfully implemented at Antalya Yavuz Selim Anatolian High School with the support of the Anna Lindh Foundation. As part of the initiative, an intern from the Sunrise Project in France collaborated with our association to deliver an engaging and educational photography workshop for students.

📸 Developing Creative Skills Through Photography

The workshop focused on the fundamentals of photography, with particular emphasis on lighting techniques and visual composition. Students were introduced to essential concepts that helped them better understand how to capture impactful and high-quality images.

Through interactive learning and practical exercises, participants had the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge in real time, enhancing both their technical skills and creative thinking.

🎯 From Learning to Practice: Photography Contest

Following the workshop, students took part in a photography contest designed to encourage creativity and self-expression. This activity allowed participants to showcase their unique perspectives while applying the techniques they had learned.

The competition not only motivated students but also created a sense of excitement and engagement within the school community. The results of the contest are set to be announced in the following week.

🤝 Strong Collaboration with the School Community

The success of the project was made possible through the valuable support of the school administration and teachers. Special thanks were extended to Principal Alim Zeybek and English teacher Deniz Gündoğdu for their commitment and contribution to the implementation of this initiative.

Their support ensured a productive and inspiring environment for all participants.

🌍 Promoting Youth Engagement and Creativity

This project demonstrated the importance of non-formal education in empowering young individuals. By combining creativity with practical skills, it encouraged students to express themselves while gaining valuable competencies that can support their future development.

Supported by the Anna Lindh Foundation, the initiative also contributed to strengthening intercultural collaboration and youth engagement at the local level.
