Held Within, Given Beyond – Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Carei 🇪🇺
June 2026
From 21 to 29 June 2026, young people from Ireland, Romania, Spain and Türkiye came together in Carei, Romania, for the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Held Within, Given Beyond.”
Throughout the project, participants explored topics related to well-being, self-care, personal growth and emotional awareness through non-formal education activities, group work, discussions and creative exercises.
The exchange created a supportive intercultural learning environment where young people had the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences, share different perspectives and learn from one another. Alongside the thematic sessions, participants strengthened their communication and teamwork skills, built new international friendships and discovered more about the cultures represented within the project.
Intercultural activities were an important part of the programme, allowing participants from four different countries to share traditions, experiences and everyday realities while developing mutual understanding and respect.
For the participants from Türkiye, the project also offered an opportunity to experience Erasmus+ mobility, become part of an international learning environment and actively contribute to discussions around personal development and well-being.
“Held Within, Given Beyond” was not only a space for learning, but also for connection, reflection and sharing. The experiences and relationships created during the exchange will continue beyond the project itself, encouraging participants to carry what they learned into their daily lives and communities.
We are happy to have been part of this meaningful Erasmus+ experience and would like to thank all participants, partner organisations and the hosting team who contributed to the project.
